The Department of Instructional Design and Technology is comprised of faculty and staff who support the mission of the College of Education and Professional Studies through teaching, scholarly activities, and service. To fulfill this mission, the department focuses on developing synergy between academic innovation and applied development, as well as a strong research agenda to support the preparation of empowered professionals who serve as educational leaders.
The mission of the Department of Instructional Design and Technology is to prepare and support qualified professionals. Our students learn to serve as educators, trainers, and learning facilitators within a variety of organizations.

Degrees in Instructional Design and Technology
The Department of Instructional Design and Technology offers a full suite of fully online degrees in instructional design and technology: Bachelor of Science in IDT, Master of Education (M.Ed.) in IDT, and Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in IDT.
The IDT curriculum emphasizes collaborative and individualized projects. Students learn skills that they can immediately apply to real-world problems, guided by experienced, responsive, and caring faculty who provide one-on-one feedback to every student.
